Offboarding
People who leave are offboarded, not deleted. They lose access at once, and their past actions keep their name.
Offboard someone
Section titled “Offboard someone”In People › Active, admins choose Offboard for the person. The dialog lists what will happen before anything does:
- the teams the person leaves;
- the rules a team could no longer satisfy, with a picker to add someone to that team first;
- their approvals on waiting requests, which stop counting;
- the agents they started that are still running;
- a chat account pinned for them.
When you confirm, at once:
- the person can no longer open the organization, and their web sessions end;
- the confirmations that let their Linux users start agents are revoked;
- they leave every team, so they get no approval requests, and their Slack or Teams account can no longer decide.
Agents they started keep running until they end.
What you cannot do
Section titled “What you cannot do”- Offboard the last admin.
- Offboard yourself.
- Leave a team short. If a rule needs “2 of Finance” and offboarding would leave one person, add someone to the team first. Noset never picks an approver for you.
Reactivate someone
Section titled “Reactivate someone”People › Offboarded shows who was offboarded, when and by whom. Reactivate brings the person back with their previous role. Teams are not given back; add them again.
Bringing someone back as Admin, when your organization has another admin, waits for a second admin: the person comes back as a Member until then. See Admin changes.
In the audit log
Section titled “In the audit log”Offboarding and reactivating are recorded. Records keep the person’s name and email, and the web app marks them as offboarded wherever their name appears.
