People, roles and teams
People has four tabs: Active, Offboarded, Teams and Invitations.
A role says what a person may do in Noset.
| Role | May |
|---|---|
| Admin | Everything: people, teams, gates, settings and rules. |
| Rule editor | Create and change rules. Looser changes need an admin. |
| Member | Start agents, approve when in the rule’s team, read the audit log. Every new person starts here. |
| Auditor | Read everything and export the evidence. Never approves, so the check stays independent. |
Who may approve a request does not come from the role. It comes from the team named in the rule. An admin approves only when they are in that team.
There is always at least one admin. Every role change is written to the audit log.
Invite someone
Section titled “Invite someone”Admins click Invite someone, enter the email address and pick a role. When email is set up, Noset sends the invitation at once; without email, use Copy link and send it yourself. The person accepts by signing in with that address.
If the address belongs to someone who was offboarded, Noset offers to reactivate them instead. See Offboarding.
Rules send requests to teams, for example “2 of Finance”. Admins create teams under People › Teams and choose who is in them. Everyone in a team hears about changes to its rules.
In a team’s dialog:
- Search people by name or email. The search ignores case and accents: “erinc” finds “Erinç”.
- Members only shows the people already in the team. Members come first.
- Ticking a person adds or removes them at once.
- Select all acts on everyone who matches the search. Above 50 people, Noset asks first.
Noset refuses to take people out of a team when it would have fewer people than a live rule needs. Add someone else first. Approvals the removed people gave on waiting requests stop counting.
